Hi, I’m Katie Hart, DNP, APRN, FNP-C. I’m a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in both hospital and urgent care medicine. After beginning my career on a busy medical-surgical unit, I spent 10 years working in urgent care, where I gained extensive experience caring for a wide variety of patient needs. I believe patients should have an active voice in their healthcare and strive to give them the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.
Family Medicine: Drawing on more than a decade of urgent care experience to evaluate and treat a wide range of everyday illnesses and health concerns while supporting patients in their overall health.
I truly value my patients’ input and strongly believe in patient autonomy and shared decision-making. My role as a Family Nurse Practitioner isn’t to simply tell patients what they should do. It’s to educate them, answer their questions, and give them the information and support they need to make decisions about their own health and facilitate healing.
Antibiotics have an important place in medicine, but they don’t fix everything. Understanding when antibiotics are truly needed helps ensure they remain effective when we need them most.
