About Me
Hi, I’m Carissa Dear, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, and I’m proud to serve as a board-certified family nurse practitioner at trü Primary & Urgent Care. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, my journey began as an ER nurse and has since expanded into urgent care, primary care, and hospital medicine. I am passionate about delivering patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take charge of their health.

Patient-Centric Approach
I believe in really listening to my patients. Asking questions and having open conversations is so important. It’s not just about treating symptoms but also educating and empowering people to take control of their health.
Top Health Tip
Be your own advocate. Ask questions, stay informed, and take an active role in your care. Knowing your medications and why you take them can make a big difference.
If You Could Have Dinner with a Historical Figure, Who Would It Be and Why?
If I could share a meal with anyone, it would be my grandfather, John Dear Jr. He was a WWII Flying Ace in the Navy and a true hero, earning multiple awards for his bravery. I’d love to hear his stories and get his thoughts on today’s world.
